Joy McGinnis – Camino de Santiago

Merideth, Judy, and I got over jetlag, (I think), enjoying this fabulous city. A beautiful place to stay at “Porto by Douro Apartment.” Fantastico dinner at Adega de Sao Nicolau, followed by a walk through the square at the cathedral, beautiful street musicians singing. The evening ended with moonlight over the river. A quick visit to the cathedral the next morning.

Perfect weather, bright and warm with a gentle breeze. Fitting all this in while gearing up (or down) to begin our Camino tomorrow.

Oh, and one marriage proposal (by Paulo, our driver extraordinaire) to Judy. Who can blame him?? Her loveliness and her light… He’s quite the optimist and we’ve adopted his motto of “anything is possible.”

If you come to Porto, I’ll introduce you to him. He’s been so great with airport pickups and touring us around town. Marriage proposals not included in the price. A one off deal I’m pretty sure.
